Position
Developer/System Analyst

Description
Symbiosys Consulting is looking for a superstar to join our growing team.

Requirements
You may not have a ton of corporate experience but you are detail orientated and obsessive about quality, both of the code you have built (yes we want to see examples) and of the relationships you have built with co-workers and clients. If you are inclined to take the first solution that works and write that up as THE solution, then this is probably not the job for you.

We're looking for someone presentable, who will work with both graphic designers and the customers to support and build a number of applications.

You should be comfortable with object orientated programming, preferably possessing experience in at least one other language (e.g. C#.net and php).

Please also make sure that your references are appropriately bribed because we are going to ask them embarrassing questions about you.

Responsibilities
A typical Symbiosys work week includes:

  • Meeting with the customer to show off changes in an application
  • Working with our graphic designers to specify changes to the UI of an application
  • Building reports and charts
  • Spending time working with our lead developers, integrating your work with the production database(s)
  • Spending time with customers helping them work out what they need (which may be different to what they want) – and then convincing them of this in such a way that they think it was their idea!

We place an extremely high value on teamwork and have a very relaxed work environment. You will be measured on the results that you provide, not your attendance.

The good news is that you can build your career in a direction you see yourself going while we supply the Red Bull! Symbiosys offers an attractive set of benefits, competitive compensation, along with great opportunity for both training and advancement.

Please email your resume together with salary expectations to jobs@symbionet.net.

Only superstars need apply. You can leave the cape and hood in the car (seriously please no costumes) – but be prepared to demonstrate that you are a high performing individual.

Finally – if you are serious about your IT career (even if it hasn’t started yet) let us know. This may not be the ideal position for you but we can help find one.
